Dr Michele Coletti is an experienced electric propulsion engineer who in the course of his career has worked on all major electric propulsion technologies both at thruster and subsystem level, spanning powers from 2W to 25kW and covering all TRL levels including in orbit commissioning and successful operation.

Michele got his PhD in Electric Propulsion from the University of Southampton in 2008 working on hollow cathode modeling. From 2009 to 2017 he has lead all electric propulsion activities at Mars Space Ltd working on the qualification of a Cubesat sized PPT and on the development of hollow cathodes and gridded ion engines. 

Since 2017 he is with Thales Alenia Space in the UK as Propulsion Design Authority technically leading the propulsion team on all electric and chemical propulsion activities covering both commercial (GEO, MEO, LEO, constellations etc ) and scientific/exploration applications . In 2019 he has been recognized as TAS Electric Propulsion Expert.

Samantha Azad, leader Corporate Strategy Rolls-Royce is joining Kreios Space’s mentorship board

Samantha has a track record in leading global, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes and her participation will support the founders sharpen their vision. 

Samantha joined Rolls-Royce as an Aerospace Engineer in 2013.

During her tenure at Rolls-Royce she has extensive experience working with complex systems. As an engineer, her experiences includes working across the entire portfolio of  Rolls-Royce’s current and future generation of jet engines to ensure they are safe, reliable, and efficient operations. In commercial roles, Samantha was the head of marketing for world’s most efficient large engine and was responsible for shaping product strategies to win multi-million dollar contracts.

Her expertise include data analytics, delivering high impact presentations and defining winning business models for new ventures.

Samantha has a Masters in Aerospace engineering from Queen’s University, Belfast and went on to do further education in Corporate Finance at London Business School.

Andres is a Spanish business leader and engineer in the aerospace industry. His career started in the area of commercial aviation as a flight test engineer, then he held different roles in several technological areas such as system design or simulation and a number of business roles where he was active in Europe, Asia and America.  He is currently the head of sales & strategy in the German branch of Telespazio, a provider of spacecraft operations services and the chairman of Linking Drones, a startup manufacturing small transportation drones.

Antoine is an expert in Space and Energy matters, with a background of economist and engineer in geophysics.

Currently Antoine is Business Developer in charge of innovation for Mitsui&Co, major Japanese trading house since 2020, and also European external advisor of its affiliates Spaceflight Inc (Launching rideshare) and Atlas (ground stations). 

His scope of work at Mitsui includes marketing of a wide-range of space products and services, including platforms, components, missions and services. As a versatile business developer and sole European within Japanese and American teams, his experience includes international trade towards launch procurement, satellite operations, space connectivity, on-orbit servicing and manufacturing. His portfolio also includes investment, and venture-capital, as an indefatigable watchman of the space economy.

Antoine is holder of two engineering Master-2 degrees (geophysicist, EOST, et geologist ENSG) and of a Master 2 in Economics and Finance (Paris-Dauphine, programme Energy Finance Carbon). He is also author and member for French IHEDN's youths (Aerospace and Energy committees).
